TIs the Season!

Guess what? It's almost Christmasss checklist time!! :)  I'm so excited to jump into:

  • Snow-man building,
  • Snow-angel making,
  • Christmas caroling,
  • Ice carving (DONE!)
  • Christmas shopping
  • Drinking Wassel (DONE!)
  • Sitting on Santa -for the first time!

Waking home yesterday, I passed by J-dawgs and had to stop and smile.

The most darling little display was smiling back at me.
Who would have known that J-dawgs would be so adorable? It's generally a manly place, where they sell a better species of tasty hotdogs. But, Tis the season!

So, as you're walking home from school, work, play, or wherever, enjoy the Christmas joys! <3

Over and out!

Holiday Heaven with my hunk of a dream man

So. During the season my phone was de-activated because of my sad neglect. So. while i'm on the phone waiting for customer service to come through, I thought I'd just tell you of my happy week! :)

Remember my Tic Tac boyfriend from my earlier post? Well, this thanksgiving holiday I was blessed to be able to take a road trip with him. We went up to his family's home in Malad, Idaho and spent monday through sunday there. What. a. Blast! ♥

As starters, I took up with me Lemon-Honey tic tacs that i had found and shipped from Germany.  This was his Thanksgiving celebration gift.  It was crazy up there. We played games, watched movies, went black friday shopping, and played with adorable little children. :) Pretty much a cool time!

His family is extremely outgoing and it took some adjusting (to their constant gift-giving), but I adore that crazy bunch! His parents are happy and loving.  His brothers and sisters are witty and fun.

He is my dream man. What more can I say about that?

So. 3 more weeks of school, and then: (la la la) Christmas break!!! ♥♥♥

In the middle of 2 of the "Most wonderful times of the year" is school. proficiencies. stress. hardship. Doesn't seem so bad sandwiched in with the beautiful blessed time of the holidays.

over and out,

p.s. I'm serious about writing the list of things to do before I die.  And Im adding one more thing to it.  Trains. I don't have to be the conductor, i just want to ride one. before I die. So. someday between now and ancient there is a train in my future. ♥ Soon to come = the list of things to do before I die. :)

Very Proud of Me

Hello lovely readers, whoever you are! ♥

This has been quite the last few days.  In my efforts to get caught up in school, become a better person, and do all of my homework possible before thanksgiving break, I am a worn-out, tired, scary-looking wreck.  But boy! Am I happy!!! There is nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that you just finished a big project.  That is today.  The day of productive-ness. Actually, that is the past 4 days.  I'm very proud of me.

So here's a big smile to living life well! (which includes a lot of hard work!)

Love. Love. Love! ♥♥♥

Don't take life too serious. You'll never escape it alive anyway.

As crazy as this quote is...it's not actually depressing at all.

On the flip side...Here's life.  So live it, right? I read a snippet today that said, "If we were given 84,600 dollars in a bank account every day, and the excess was disposed of each night...what would we do? Well, we'd withdraw it all and spend every last penny, right?" Guess what?  There are 84,600 seconds in a day.  Each one that we waste on feeling like we're "just not good enough" or "worried about this thing we can't control" or even just plain boring or unhappy, we WASTE our lives!!! There's a second you'll never get back..life is short, people! and the one thing that stood out most to me from BYU's production of Tuesdays with Morrie was, "We are ALL GOING TO DIE!"  So...on a lighter note...what do we do about this?

The answer is simple. laugh. then laugh again. smile for no reason. count your blessings. then count them again, because in that second that you finished counting, there were more! jump in that big mud puddle! drink chocolate milk with a straw. actually. don't even drink it! Blow bubbles in the chocolate milk like you have wanted to your entire life! take a little risk. fill your life with good things. For goodness sakes, fall in love! Hold hands. Tell the people in your life how important they are. cause you know? they're gonna die too, someday.  And you don't wanna have to regret not loving them as much as humanly possible. compliment, compliment, compliment. People don't know how amazing they are, and if they do, they certainly won't admit it to themselves. paint a masterpiece.  do everything on your list of things to do before you die, and then add another one. pick dandelions. and LOVE. because that never dies.

This is the stuff that life is made of, this is what fills the spaces of life with air, breath, magic, beauty! life is beautiful, and the more we give of ourselves, the more we let ourselves love, the more beautiful it becomes. <3

this is me. signing out. still promising someday i will post my list of things to do before i die.

tic tac girl

I've been dating a wonderful guy.

He has this obsession with Tic Tacs that began years ago. It's crazy. He's adorable. He has a tic tac license plate, tic tac nic nacs, and every flavor of tic tacs he can get his hands on. :)

There are SO many flavors of tic tacs! and get this!!! Other countries have their own lil isolated flavors of tic tacs! they simply do not have international selling! How am I supposed to get the flavors from there...to here? Alot of hard work. that's how. But, today I found another flavor, and bought it. He'll see it sometime around Christmas <3

But, I just thought I would share this exciting news! How cool that there are so many flavors all throughout the world! Here are a few examples of tic tacs that I have given him:

world cup edition tic tacs: cherry and orange flavored(white and red) - UK

Powermint- Canada

Eucalyptus - Australia
Eucalyptus-honey - Germany

Cool Cherry- UK

Peach Passionfruit - Germany

Tropical Acerola - Germany

Lime and Orange - I wouldn't tell him where i got them. so you don't get to know
either. <3

Green Apple- USA

I found a top secret flavor today. <3 so i can't tell you. But I am just oh-so-excited. I also found out some really exciting things that they will be releasing soon, but you will just have to hear about these when I get to give them to him.

We'll just say that Tic Tacs are pretty cool.

Chicken soup for the actor's soul

Okay. So, here's the scoop.

I'm an actress.

<3

Some people don't understand why actor's feel the need to FEEL. My answer to that? I have no clue. I certainly act because i feel. I want to help others feel. And, i've noticed a connection to real life lately. If you are afraid to say something in real life, or to truly be yourself, you cannot do that in acting. For some reason, it seems the weaknesses in an actor's real life are their same weaknesses on the stage. That is why actors are insecure about their work.

but so what?

so what if people know what you really feel? Be courageous enough to share your soul with other human beings. It's liberating, it's touching sometimes. It's like chicken soup to a sickly person. And if you do it right, that sickly person was from the audience.

So, my chicken soup for actors? Feel. be vulnerable. open up. what is the worst that could happen if you open up a little bit and be more courageous in your real life? [and i mean courageous, without forgetting tact]

That being said, be smart. Don't do things that you would feel bad about doing in real life. Your character onstage is just an extention of you, in different circumstances. Don't be pressured into doing anything stupid. Power comes from within, and it's only when we respect ourselves that we can have full reign of that power.

so.
live.
breathe.
cry.
be vulnerable.
smile and mean it.
keep your standards.
be courageous.
THAT will be your chicken soup for life, my acting friends.

over and out,
yellow. <3

my inkblot on the page of life ♥

:) :) :) Welcome to my very first blog post. Oh you lucky reader, you!

So, instead of telling you all the blah blah's of my life up to now, you're just gonna deal with the fact that there will be some missing blanks. This is no life-story.  It's just my lil inkblot on the page of life.

Now that you are all mine, and I have your attention, I can say anything I'd like.  Here are a few of my favorite things, as a small introduction to me:

♥Windchimes
♥sunshine
♥little children
♥splashing in the rain with polka-dot umbrellas and rain-boots
♥People who love other people
♥my man
♥friends who push you beyond your limits to be better
♥absolutely beautiful art
♥sand between my toes
♥smilies--because nothing better can express the purpose of suffering than happiness
♥standing next to a waterfall--because God made this earth beautiful
♥true love--without it, we're not even real.

These are only a few things, because i didn't want you to get bored.  I just want you to know that I love.  I love everything about life.  I love my family, and I love the simply small things of life.

Up and coming: My list of things to do before I die
